The FBI launched a new Web site yesterday designed to help bust armed bank robbers in New York and New Jersey.

The site bandittrackernortheast.com features color surveillance photos of the robbers with the locations and descriptions of their alleged heists, officials said.

“The public’s assistance is of huge value to us,” said FBI Assistant Special Agent Belle Chen.

Officials hope the clearing house of thieves will net more tips from the public, who will now have 24-hour access to the information.

The site allows investigators to upload images within an hour of the incident, officials said.
