The FDNY confiscated about 500 cylinders of propane from a Willets Point business Thursday, officials said.

The department’s Bureau of Fire Prevention was conducting a routine inspection of the building on an industrial strip when they discovered the tanks were being illegally stored, the officials said.

The number of tanks “was well beyond the location’s storage capacity,” an FDNY spokesman said.

The owner of the building was charged with a misdemeanor and fined, officials said.
