New York’s Bravest took a short break over the weekend to give a shout-out to some of the city’s other heroes — the health-care workers at Elmhurst Hospital.

Waving a sign that said, “THE FDNY THANKS YOU,” and hoisting the Stars and Stripes, firefighters posed with the workers outside the Queens hospital on Sunday.

Called the “epicenter of the epicenter,” Elmhurst has been one of the hardest-hit hospitals in the city, with Queens seeing the most coronavirus cases of all the boroughs.
