Multiple federal agents were injured — including one who was sent to a local hospital — after high school students turned violent at an anti-ICE protest in downtown Los Angeles.
One of the agents injured, a 40-year-old, whose identity and agency were not disclosed, was hurt during the brutal altercation at around 1:30pm near City Hall.
“On February 13, a group of about 200-300 rioters and agitators gathered outside in ICE building in Los Angeles. They threw objects including rocks at law enforcement. One ICE officer was hit in the head with a rock thrown and was injured,” a DHS spokesperson told The California Post.

Shocking footage showed the huge mob swarming around officers who drew their Tasers and pushed them back down the street.
One clip saw a demonstrator wildly swinging a pole at an agent and hitting him at least twice.
Another showed a cop grappling with a woman before she was wrestled back by the crowd and appeared to flee the scene.

It came as high schoolers in Los Angeles descended on the scene as part of a huge walkout on Friday to protest against ICE.
LA’s top federal prosecutor Bill Essayli tore into the protesters and vowed to hunt down and prosecute the perpetrators.
He told the California Post: “The violent attack this afternoon by high school students on federal officers is unacceptable.

The parents, teachers, unions, and administrators facilitating students ditching school to attack federal personnel bear responsibility and should be ashamed of themselves,” Essayli said.
“Imagine how successful our children would be if schools put as much effort into educating them as they do into indoctrinating them.”

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Fire Department told the Post they transported one of the injured federal agent to hospital in fair condition at 1.34pm.
The LAPD’s Central Division said in a post on X: “Suspects who attacked the Federal Agents have blended into the March.”

“Based on the increased violence targeting federal law enforcement, we are surging officers to our downtown Los Angeles buildings. I have directed them to make arrests on the spot for anyone committing a crime, regardless of whether they are an adult or a teenager. If arrested, you will spend the weekend in a federal detention facility. We have plenty of bed space,” he tweeted.

The students’ march started at City Hall, blocking traffic on Spring Street, police said.
The protest overwhelmed streets in the area, moving across First Street and Main Street.
On Los Angeles Street, demonstrators engaged in vandalism, according to police.

Friday’s walkout was the latest in a series of such demonstrations held in Los Angeles and across California.
It wasn’t immediately clear who organized Friday’s protest in LA.
But in Fresno, police were hunting for the adults who allegedly led a 200-student walkout there.
A Los Angeles charter school teacher was fired for opening a campus gate to students walking out of class to join an anti-ICE protest on Jan. 30.
LA students also walked out of class for demonstrations last Friday, and the Friday before.
