The chairman of the US House Transportation Committee yesterday said the Second Avenue Subway is not in danger of losing federal funding, despite proposed cuts to infrastructure projects.

“We’ve got to get these jobs moving, said Rep. John Mica (R-Fla.), after touring the construction site.

That’s good news for the MTA, which is counting on nearly $400 million from the feds to finish the project.
