The feds have rescued the botched case against a parolee accused of trying to kill a cop in The Bronx in 2009, The Post has learned.

Darren Morris, 27, beat the rap for allegedly opening fire on Officer Daniel Beddows, when a prosecutor blew the deadline for bringing him to trial.

But Manhattan federal prosecutors agreed to pick up the case after cops pleaded for justice, and Morris — who was jailed in Westchester on unrelated charges — was taken into custody yesterday.

He faces three counts, including a weapons charge that could send him to the slammer for 10 years.
