A feminist student group at Fordham — with the unfortunate name “ISIS” — will not change its moniker and has no fear it’ll be confused with blood-thirsty terrorists.

This ISIS, which stands for “In Strength I Stand,” is based at Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus.

“Nobody thinks we are in any way an Islamic terror nationalists group,” Fordham junior and club president Wallis Monday told New York magazine. “So I really don’t see a need to change it because of that.”

Fordham’s ISIS doesn’t want to go through the hassle of a name change, and believes students will know it stands with Beyonce — and not with jihadists.

“Changing the name would just be kind of a pain, and I think that we’re doing fine as we are,” Monday said. “I don’t think anyone’s going to misunderstand a group of energetic, college feminists who are blasting Beyonce outside of the classrooms on Club Day as Islamic militants.”
