A blaze ripped through the holding cells of the Brooklyn criminal court Wednesday afternoon injuring eight court officers, fire officials said.

Seven of the officers received minor injuries from the flames, while one sustained moderate injuries from the flames, which broke out on the sixth floor of the downtown Brooklyn building at 120 Schermerhorn Street.

No inmates were injured, authorities said, and the source of the fire remained under investigation Wednesday evening.

After two hours, 60 firefighters managed to bring the conflagration under control.

“Yooooo my court building on fire,” wrote Twitter user J. Hall, accompanied by footage of the flames.
