A fire broke out in a Manhattan high-rise near the UN on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

The flames erupted on the 17th floor of the 870 United Nations Plaza apartment building around 1:20 p.m., fire officials said.

The fire was contained to one apartment, officials said. It was placed under control at 2 p.m., FDNY said.

There were no injuries, fire officials said.
