A fire broke out at New York City’s American Museum of Natural History early Tuesday, authorities said.

About 60 FDNY firefighters rushed to the scene just after 1:30 a.m. after receiving a call about smoke inside the Upper West Side museum, according to fire officials.

The fire began accidentally in a first-floor office and was tied to electrical wiring, the Fire Department said. The blaze did not extend past the office, and no exhibits were damaged, the FDNY said.

It took about an hour for the crews to get the situation under control, and one firefighter sustained minor injuries, the FDNY said.

The museum didn’t immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
