A raging fire ripped through a historic Hamptons home early Monday morning, officials said.
The flames erupted around 5:30 a.m. on Sagg Main Street in Sagaponack, police officials said.
Home owner, Peter L Smith, a retired managing director for Lazard Freres investment banking firm, said the 1800s home was “cobbled together over the centuries,” according to Tenders Info.
The three bedroom, one bath home was completely destroyed.
