A blaze in the basement of Montefiore hospital in the Bronx has been brought under control by firefighters.

The Fire Department of New York says all visible flames have been knocked out. No injuries have been reported.

About 100 firefighters are at the scene.

It was not immediately clear whether people were evacuated.
