Fire officials say a fire tore through the Knights of Columbus Hall in the storm-ravaged community of Long Beach.
The hall had provided food and shelter for victims displaced by Superstorm Sandy.
The fire, which broke out at around 3 a.m. Monday, heavily damaged the building.
A witness told Fox 5 News that he had just attended a Christmas part there on Sunday.
There were no reports of injuries.
