Paramedics from Maimonides Medical Center administer oxygen to an elderly man after a smoky blaze erupted inside his apartment building Thursday night.

FDNY officials said that the all-hands fire broke out inside the building on Westminster Road near Cortelyou Road just after 11:30 p.m. on September 24.

The fire was put out in a matter of minutes, officials said. Injuries were light.

The cause of the blaze was still being investigated as this paper went to press.
