An off-duty firefighter is on the run after choking and slamming his girlfriend against a wall at her Upper East Side apartment, cops said Sunday.

Albert Serino, 41, got into an argument with his significant other on Saturday at about 11 p.m. in her apartment on East 82nd Street near York Avenue, authorities said.

He then threw her to the floor and pushed his knee down on her neck until she couldn’t breathe, she later told police.

He also began to choke her and slammed her head against the wall during the violent outburst, she reported.

The 41-year-old woman called 911 and was taken to a hospital. She suffered a cut on her forehead and also had marks on her throat, cops said.

Serino ran away from the apartment after the alleged assault and has not been caught, police said.

Cops said they are talking to Serino’s lawyer and expect him to turn himself in.
