Firefighters are battling a blaze on the roof of The Plaza Residences on Central Park South, officials said.

The fire broke out at 12:11 p.m. today, when some construction material went up in flames, oficials said.

Sixty firefighters and 12 untis responded to the legendary building and are in the process of knocking down the blaze, offcials said.

No injuries have been reported.
