The 37-year-old father of four lost his life fighting the fire at 773 St. Nicholas Ave., where film crews were shooting a new Ed Norton and Bruce Willis flick, officials said.

The 15-year FDNY veteran leaves behind his wife, Eileen, and four children – three daughters, ages 7, 3 and 1, and a 6-year-old son.

He had been cited for bravery four times in his career and is the 1,150th city firefighter to die in the line of duty in the history of the department, according to the FDNY.

Two other smoke-eaters were listed in serious condition with burns early Friday at Weill Cornell Medical Center, though their wounds were not considered life-threatening, sources said.

The building, which was built in 1920, wasn’t fire-resistant and the fire spread quickly, FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro said, CBS News reported.
