A centuries-old Hamptons fishing clan claims state officials literally stole the dinner off their plates.

A Department of Environmental Conservation cop closed the Lester family’s modest roadside clam stand in July — and confiscated the very fluke they were going to eat for supper, they claim.

“They’re targeting us,” said Kelly Lester, whose family’s fishing roots stretch back to the 1750s.

The Amagansett anglers have long pointed to the Dongan Patent of 1686 — a royal decree that founded East Hampton — as proof of their right to fish their local waters without state licensing.

Still, they’ve been fined thousands of dollars and raided four times this summer alone.

“My grandfather always told me that we had a right to fish our waters here,” Lester said.

The Lesters pleaded not guilty in a courtroom packed with supporters last week.
