PHILADELPHIA — The Staten Island man accused of streaking at a rally featuring President Obama for a cash prize is set to go on trial next month in Philadelphia.
Juan Rodriguez, 24, was charged with indecent exposure and other charges in October after he allegedly ran naked through a rally at which the president spoke.
Rodriguez appeared before a Philadelphia judge to face trial Wednesday but it was postponed to Jan. 28.
Rodriguez’s attorney wanted the case reviewed for a program designed for nonviolent, first-time offenders, but prosecutors rejected the proposal, according to a local radio station.
An Internet billionaire says Rodriguez was trying to collect a million-dollar prize he offered to the first person to successfully streak close to Obama.
