A cop fractured both ankles Thursday morning when he was struck by a fleeing vehicle in The Bronx, police said.

Police pulled the black Toyota Camry over for tinted windows at West 183rd Street and Grand Avenue around 10 a.m.

When they ran the name of the driver, Robert Rivera, they discovered he had a warrant for marijuana, police sources said.

They tried to arrest Rivera, but he peeled off and struck Officer Daniel Shannon. One of the cops fired a Taser, which police believe struck the suspect with dart-like electrodes.

Rivera was collared later but had not been charged as of about 2:30 p.m. Police said he has an extensive rap sheet.

The empty car, which was discovered about four blocks away, is registered to somebody else. The owner claimed he lent the car to Rivera, police said.

Shannon was taken to North Central Hospital in stable condition.

Cops were searching for Rivera, who they said has an extensive rap sheet.
