Canadian-Israeli chef Eden Grinshpan, host of Food Network’s Top Chef Canada and Cooking Channel’s Eden Eats, is launching DEZ, a Middle Eastern concept in Nolita later this month.
Her partner in the venture is Samantha Wasser, of by Chloe and The Sosta, a fast casual Italian restaurant.
The eatery, at 227 Mulberry St., will offer a carrot meze with harissa, honey-roasted carrots, labaneh, dukkah, za’atar and olive oil; and beet meze with roasted cardamom beets, beet hummus, pine nuts, herbs and olive oil.
There’s also a falafel cauliflower pita; a harissa curry shakshuka; hummus bowls; halva toast and orange blossom and honey yogurt with tahini granola and crushed walnuts — along with baked goods, vegan and gluten-free options.
