A food truck has been booted from the racetrack at Saratoga because state officials took offense at its name — “Wandering Dago.”
A New York Racing Association rep said his agency barred the barbecue truck after “we received several complaints’’ about its name, which some consider an anti-Italian-American slur.
“We don’t think it’s offensive in any way,” co-owner Andrea Loguidice told the Albany Times Union. “And since we wander to different cities during the day, we thought the name was perfect.’’
