Harold Ford Jr. is still sending out campaign-style e-mails — only the latest one today this one brought word about his upcoming book, not a policy position.

The e-mail reads, “I will appear on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” at 7:00am EDT – 6:00am EDT to discuss the news of the day. Check your local listings for MSNBC.”

It adds, “In addition, the release of my book, ‘More Davids Than Goliaths,’ has been moved up to July from September. You can still pre-order it at a discount today” and provides a link.

One of the going theories about Ford’s exploratory candidacy by some had been that he was trying to prime the pump for interest in his book. That always seemed a bit far-fetched, although perhaps this email will refuel that fire.
