The discovery of a film canister led to a European adventure, and a new friend, for an aspiring Brooklyn filmmaker.

The only-in-New York tale began when Todd Bieber noticed a small white canister while cross-country skiing in Prospect Park after the December blizzard.

Bieber developed the film and posted the images on YouTube, asking for help identifying the people in them.

A Frenchwoman saw the posting, and alerted her friend — whom Bieber identified only as Camille — whom she knew had vacationed in New York.

Camille, a 24-year-old city-planning student, e-mailed Bieber.

“It was an incredible feeling to actually hear from her,” Bieber said.

“She wanted me to mail her the negatives at first, but I told her I wanted to give them to her in person, to make an adventure out of it.”

Within two weeks, he embarked for Europe with his girlfriend, taking a five-country tour, before ending up in Paris for his meeting with Camille.

“She was a little weird about it at first,” he said.

“I think she was trying to decide if I was some sort of creep or a cool guy,” he told The Post.

“I think having my girlfriend with me helped a lot.”

Her suspicions alleviated, Camille and Bieber quickly hit it off and explored Paris together.

“I hope she comes back to New York,” Bieber said of his unlikely new pal.
