A former top aide to indicted state Sen. John Sampson was found guilty Wednesday of conspiring with his ex-boss to defrauded the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee out of $100,000.

The verdict for Melvin Lowe, 53, came after a one-week trial by a White Plains federal jury on charges of wire fraud, tax violations and scamming the cash out of the DSCC in 2010. He faces up to 82 years in jail and $1.25 million in fines.

Sampson (D-Brooklyn), who is fighting charges that he also committed fraud, coasted to victory in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.
