Vito Fossella will be taking to the local airwaves tonight, hitting NY1 as a guest “Wise Guy.”

The former Staten Island congressman, who ended his re-election bid in disgrace amid a second-family scandal in 2008, has generally steered clear of media where the focus is guaranteed to be politics.

He had been mulling a run for his old seat this year, but is believed to have decided the calculus is better to wait for the next election cycle. He’s also been discussed as a possible Borough President candidate.
