Gov. Cuomo held off on a plan that would have allowed limited fracking of upstate natural gas wells at the urging of environmental activist and former brother-in-law Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Cuomo’s talks with Kennedy over new studies on how fracking affects health could delay a final decision on the issue for a year.
“I think the issue suddenly got simple for him,” Kennedy said.
Cuomo was considering a plan to allow 10 to 40 test wells in southwest New York, sources said.
