In a bizarre twist of fate, the first Long Island convict sprung from jail because of faulty testing by the Nassau Police Crime Lab was accidentally killed by a subway less than a month after he was released from custody.
Nwakanma “Willie’’ Ochei, 27, had been freed in January after more than 18 months behind bars and at a halfway house.
He was then struck and killed by a Manhattan train on Feb. 21.
