A prisoner escaped police custody in Queens Tuesday morning, but was captured less than an hour later, cops said.

The criminal, identified by police sources as Johan Marte, 29, busted out of a van near 83rd Avenue and 135th Street around 8:30 a.m., possibly en route to central booking, police said.

It’s unclear how the detainee — who was handcuffed — broke free from the van, cops said.

Marte was caught about 45 minutes later near 135th Street and Grand Central Parkway, police said. He was arrested for assault in June, cops said.
