LOCKPORT, NY — A fugitive from western New York all but turned himself in — by posting on Facebook and MySpace the name of the tattoo parlor where he worked.

Police in Lockport, outside Buffalo, alerted US marshals, and they busted Chris Crego, 39, Wednesday in Terre Haute, Ind., for not showing up for sentencing after pleading guilty last fall to assault.

Lockport cops thanked Crego on his Facebook page, writing, “It was due to your diligence in keeping us informed that now you are under arrest.”
