The feds’ drug case against two nephews of Venezuela’s president took a major hit on Wednesday when a Manhattan prosecutor, furious that a star witness compromised himself by lying, lashed into him in front of the jury.
Federal prosecutor Brendan Quigley stunned the trial of Efrain Campo Flores and Franqui Flores De Freitas when he told José Santos-Pena that his cooperation agreement with the government was rescinded because Santos-Pena talked with narcotics pals from behind bars.
