Two days after entering an upstate hospital to get her tubes tied, a 32-year-old upstate woman found herself paralyzed — able to move only her eyelids.

Ana Maria Mejia went in for the tubal ligation at Orange Regional Medical Center five weeks after giving birth to her third child, according to a $30 million suit filed in Manhattan Federal Court against the Middletown hospital and her gynecologist, Dr. Christopher Allen.

She went into septic shock and had emergency surgery.

A hospital spokesman said the medical center had no knowledge of the suit. Allen could not be reached for comment.
