An actor who played a wiseguy on “The Sopranos” and in “GoodFellas” — and was a real-life mob associate — received a lenient six months of house arrest yesterday for extortion charges.
Anthony Borgese, 73, also known as Tony Darrow, is a Gambino associate who admitted to arranging for two enforcers to collect a debt in what prosecutors called “a classic organized-crime” shakedown conspiracy.
Assistant US Attorney Evan Norris noted that Borgese “plainly enjoyed blurring the line between fiction and reality.”
