A pedestrian died Friday after being hit by a garbage truck in Brooklyn, cops said.
The 62-year-old man was crossing the street at Flatbush and Atlantic avenues in Crown Heights just before 4 p.m. when he was hit, police said.
The 37-year-old driver remained at the scene and cops were investigating.
The pedestrian’s body was still stuck under the truck hours later, shocking passerby.

One onlooker told The Post the incident “happened so fast.”
“I went around the corner and came back and was like what the f–k,” said the man, who asked not to be named. “Like, he’s really underneath that truck.”
Police are investigating the incident. Paul MartinkaSeveral people who live or work in the area called on truck drivers to be more careful.
“I see them drive reckless all the time when I’m home,” one local resident said.
“Every time I close the store And I come out to cross the street, I always almost get hit by a car,” said a man who works at Atlantic Terminal. “The city needs to find a better way to operate these street lights differently. This is a crazy street.”
No further details about the incident were immediately released.
