The Port Authority says repairs to a loose joint on the upper level of the George Washington Bridge have caused hour-long eastbound rush-hour delays.

Two of the upper level’s four eastbound lanes were closed during the repairs Friday morning.

A Port Authority spokesman said traffic was moving smoothly on the lower level.

The bridge links upper Manhattan with New Jersey.
