A Georgia murder suspect packing an AR-15 was busted in Queens, police said Thursday.
Michael Miata, 29, was picked up by the U.S. Marshals/NYPD Regional Fugitive Task Force in an apartment on Metropolitan Avenue in Kew Gardens with the loaded rifle, Chief Rodney Harrison said in a tweet.
Miata was wanted for a drug deal gone bad in Fulton County, law enforcement sources said. In addition to the loaded .223-caliber AR-15, he was found with a quantity of marijuana, cops said.
“Keep up the great work and as always, stay safe!” Harrison wrote.
Miata will appear in court Feb. 24, police said.
