The winter chill will be back for Easter — and that’s no April Fool’s joke.
An arctic blast sweeping through the Dakotas is expected to slide into the Northeast by Sunday — pushing wind chills in the Big Apple into the lower 20s, according to ABC News.
The unseasonal weather will be cold enough to also dump some light snow in upstate New York.
“Easter Sunday will be very cold and windy with scattered snow showers, according to the National Weather Service office in Binghamton,” the Post-Standard of Syracuse reported.
The force behind the drop in temps is a large southward dip in the jet stream reaching into the Northeast, according to Weather.com.
The colder-than-average conditions will likely persist into April’s second week.
On Saturday, the high will be a balmy 55 degrees and the low will be about 42. By Sunday, the high will be near 53 and the low will drop to about 35 — but the wind chill will make it feel much lower.
Monday’s high in the city will only reach the upper 40s and the low will be in the upper 30s.
