Forget metalheads — they want to be metal mouths.

Trendy straight-toothed teens are getting braces to look geek chic.

It’s a fashion statement that costs anywhere from a few pennies to $7,500.

“There’s a high demand for braces from kids because of peer pressure to look like everyone else,” said Dr. Paul Siu, a Manhattan dentist.

Teens are begging for metallic grins at his Midtown practice, he said, and he’s granted their wishes with non-moveable braces to boost their self-esteem.

“When I’ve done it, all their classmates get it,” he added.

That’s because shiny smiles are no longer a painful sentence to the lonely land of misfits. From the main character on “Ugly Betty” to pop star Katy Perry’s look in her “Last Friday Night” video, tin is in.
