‘Gifted’ test sparks suit
Angry parents say they want a do-over after the Department of Education botched the screening process for gifted-and-talented programs this year, producing unfair results.
A suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court yesterday claims the DOE changed its exam-scoring method midway through the process.
The city recently revealed that two major scoring errors by test publisher Pearson led to a dramatic boost in the number of kids who qualified this year.
Parents are seeking to halt the assignment of kids.
