Girl, 10, dies from heat
A disabled 10-year-old girl died in last week’s scorching heat wave, authorities said yesterday.
Destiny Solomon, who suffered from cerebral palsy and was confined to a wheelchair, died at Brookdale Hospital Saturday at 6:25 p.m.
The autistic Bedford-Stuyvesant girl was incapable of walking or talking, said her mother, Marsha Primo.
Destiny and a 94-year- old woman are the only city residents so far whose deaths have been linked to the weeklong heat wave.
