LACKAWANNA, N.Y. — Three of the “Lackawanna Six” — men who were convicted after 9/11 of attending al Qaeda training camps — have apparently entered the government’s witness protection program as a reward for testifying at a Guantanamo Bay trial last fall, records show.
Yahya Goba, 32, Sahim Alwan, 36 and Yasein Taher, 31, have vanished from the federal Bureau of Prisons public database, indicating they entered the program.
