Gold teeth, a wand, and a “bag of three stuffed elves” are among the “most interesting” items New Yorkers left behind in Uber’s in the last year, the company said Tuesday.
Not to mention a purple tutu, a puppy sweater, and a violin bow.
“We’ve all experienced that moment of panic when you leave something behind – often in the backseat of an Uber,” said Nicole Siefert, head of Uber’s Lost & Found. “From frequently lost items like phones, wallets, and keys to more unique belongings like a cat paw print, a bubble machine, or Swarovski binoculars, it’s our goal to help return whatever it is you may have left behind, using the app.”
Gotham did not even make the top 10 list of “most forgetful” cities in the US –Lubbock, Texas took that spot, followed by Oxford, Mississippi, according to the company.
A cellphone ranked No. 1 for the most commonly forgotten items left in Ubers across the country, according to its fourth annual index.
Uber said it saw a more than 21 percent increase in lost AirPods from last year.
