There’s one bright spot for New York state Republicans: Two incumbent Dems in crucial state Senate races are trailing GOP challengers, according to a Siena poll released yesterday.

Conservatives Lee Zeldin on Long Island and Patty Ritchie in Watertown have opened up leads on their opponents, which could help the GOP regain the chamber. Democrats now have a slim 32-30 majority.
