New York state’s GOP leader says Mayor de Blasio should take a cue from Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel when it comes to cops.
Party Chairman Ed Cox issued a statement Monday that praised the Illinois Democrat for “defying liberal orthodoxy” by pointing out during a recent speech that cops have become “fetal” and unwilling to risk dealing with the public because they fear being tried by cellphone video.
“Kudos to Rahm Emanuel for . . . speaking out about the real-life impact of what divisive anti-police rhetoric and handcuffing policies have done to crime rates in Chicago,’’ Cox said.
