With the movement to draft Ray Kelly for mayor gaining steam, the Women’s National Republican Club last night gave the police commissioner its Outstanding Leadership Award.

He “has done so much for women by keeping the city safe,” said Cristyne Nicholas, who co-chaired the event for the Manhattan club and was former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s press chief.

Despite having repeatedly said he’s not interested in a mayoral run, Kelly, 70, has yet to shut that door.

But Mayor Bloomberg, after praising the commish, noted: “Nobody has come to me and asked me to give money for a campaign for Ray.”
