Republican activists are dangling all sorts of goodies to lure New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie into the GOP presidential race, The Post has learned.
“It’s almost relentless,” said a Christie insider. “They’re saying, ‘We’ll give you an instant structure nationally.’ ”
The effort hasn’t swayed Christie, sources confirmed.
The activists are desperate for an “electable” moderate Republican to join the race.
The governor has said he’s “flattered” but considers a 2012 run to be “a fool’s errand.”
