Gov fattens war chest
ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo — who’s pushing for taxpayer financing of state campaigns — reeled in more than $5.8 million in contributions in the last six months, boosting his non-election-year war chest to $19.3 million, records show.
Lobbyist, NY1 “Wiseguy” and former US Sen. Al D’Amato’s wife, Katuria, kicked in $15,000, proponents of not-yet-legal-in-New York ultimate fighting ponied up $50,000, Hollywood producer Steve Bing wrote two checks totaling $60,800, and supermarket magnate and potential mayoral candidate John Catsimatidis sent $31,000.
