ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo’s first pick for the state’s top court barely survived a state Senate Judiciary Committee vote yesterday as Republicans groused that Cuomo took them for granted.

The Senate is expected to confirm CUNY law professor Jenny Rivera of The Bronx for the Court of Appeals next week. She would replace another Hispanic woman, Carmen Ciparick.
