After months of delays, the Gowanus bunny hoarder’s case is heading to trial — and she plans to represent herself.
Dorota Trec, 36, had nearly 200 rabbits seized from her in January 2015. Her trial is set for Sept. 29 in Brooklyn Supreme Court.
Trec said Wednesday that she’ll push for a jury trial, claiming, “I no [longer] have faith in the judge,” adding, “Here we have a bunch of ignorants in this court.”
She faces animal-cruelty charges after many of her bunnies were found injured and disease-ridden. Dozens have since found new homes.
