A week after Jerich Alcantara got stuck for two hours on a stalled E train and missed his graduation, Hunter College threw him a private ceremony — complete with cap, gown, balloons and diploma.
And to make sure Alcantara, 21, of Elmhurst, Queens, got there on time, Hunter sent a car for him.
“Not to leave anything to chance on public transportation,” college President Jennifer J. Raab explained to PIX11 News.
Video of the nursing grad’s impromptu subway graduation has notched 3 million Facebook views.
